INFO - 2426 Linux Prerequisite(s): INFO-1241 This course is designed to provide the student with an in-depth study of the Linux operating system. Topics include Linux distributions, installation, administration, X-Windows, networking, and security. There are extensive hands-on projects, exercises, and reinforcement of concepts. The student learns about Linux terminology and features of the operating system, gains a solid understanding of core Linux concepts, and develops the practical skills necessary to successfully install and manage Linux. The student is encouraged to take the CompTIA Security+ certification exam, which can also be accepted as equivalent for this class.
