EMSP - 1100 Emergency Medical Responder This course is designed to prepare students for the basic life support knowledge and skills necessary for entry into the emergency medical services (EMS) profession. The emergency medical responder (EMR) is the entry-level of EMS. Instruction occurs through classroom and hands-on lab experiences. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians EMR written and psychomotor skills examination.
