HIMS - 2360 Coding Professional Practical Experience Prerequisite(s): Completion of the first two semesters of the coding diploma curriculum This course prepares the student to perform the basic functions and tasks of a coding professional. The student will code medical records in a variety of healthcare settings via a virtual simulation of the real-world coding experience. The course is designed to help the student gain the entry-level competencies as set forth by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
