MEDT - 2110 Urinalysis & Body Fluids Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program This course introduces the study of urine formation and the methodology in determining the physical, chemical, and microscopic properties of urine in normal and abnormal states. Properties of body fluids will be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on examination, interpretation, and handling of urine and body fluid specimens, safety, and quality control. Laboratory is integrated with the lecture.
