MEDT - 2160 Clinical Microbiology II Prerequisite(s): MEDT-2100 This course examines the essential principles of bacteriology relative to human disease with emphasis on the characteristics of clinically significant microorganisms and their biomedical profile, media for isolation, and identification methods for selected pathogens. Emphasis is on competence in general procedures, such as cultivation, isolation, and identification of organisms and evaluation and interpretation of laboratory data. Laboratory is integrated with lecture.
