MEDT - 2235 Practicum: Hematology & Urinalysis Prerequisite(s): MEDT-1140 and MEDT-2110 This practicum provides the student with the opportunity to practice skills in a supervised clinical experience within a hospital or clinic laboratory. These experiences will focus on principles and procedures of hematology and hemostasis. Emphasis is on the application of knowledge and technical skills to clinical testing, methodology, instrumentation, quality control, correlation of laboratory data with pathophysiology, OSHA practices, and medical laboratory technician professionalism.
